Newuser here of PD8, love the program so far...................) I am a ble to use all the features and options with minimal problems with most resolved.
When I get to the make a disc option there is only one option for output.
I'm using a Rebel T1i camers that shoots knock you socks of video and that format is apples mov. I have imported straight to PD8 and went to output with results that look like paint by numbers video, big pixels, so I convert to ( HD AVI Video [ *avi ] ) and the results are much better but still not close to the original. My question is what is the correct conversion or sequences of editing to get the near same quality as the original, the knock your socks of video, to a disc for playback on TV through a dvd player?

thanks, agrafton

If you are shooting at 1920X1080 on your camera, 20fps is a strange frame rate as PD normally outputs at 30fps. I would try some test footage at 1280X720 30fps and see how PD handles that.

Something else 1920X1080 is near blu-ray territory, normal DVD's as far as I know can't display that high a resolution. My 1920X1080 movies that I have produced with PD to ordinary DVD's do not appear as good as displaying them from my hard drive to my monitor.

I may be mistaken and I am sure if I am, more knowledgeable people will post and correct me.
