Why is editing text/titles in Create Disc so incredibly slow?

Hello all,

I promise this isn't a thread just to complain, I'm honestly trying to understand if there is something I'm unaware of that could be the issue or if PD18 and previous versions have always acted like this for everyone else as well.

I've owned several iterations of PD in the past several years and there always seems to be an inordinate amount of "lag" when trying to edit titles/text on a menu in the Create Disc portion of the program. My computer was always above average but I figured maybe it just had to do with PD being a RAM/GPU heavy program. However, I've recently upgraded to PD18 and a new computer build and for the life of me I cannot think of any reason why this should still be a problem.

Any words of advice or troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Your computer looks high spec.

I am using an i5 with 16gb of Ram, I get the occasional blip with PD 365. But it all works quite well.

Typing the text has been fine. Moving or to reposition a block of text has always hang and appear non responsive for a short time in every version of PD that I can remember. Still get the job done. It probably has to do with the programming where a large amount of data needs to be moved. You may want to contact support to let them know and see if they may have a solution.
