Hi everyone. I purchased Powerdirector365 and got the free Photodirector download. I have installed it but once I select launch it flashes up on screen before quickly disappearing. Have reinstalled and restarted laptop to no avail. What should I do? Many thanks.

If you have PhotoDirector, then you must have subscribed to the whole DirectorSuite, not just PD365.

Was this an upgrade, meaning did you have an older version of PhotoDirector on your laptop before? And just be be clear, you've tried rebooting your laptop, and you've also uninstalled PhD using the Windows uninstaller, and then reinstalled it using the Cyberlink App Manager?

If you've done that last part and the problem remains, try downloading the new project file (.phd) from my post in the middle of this thread. If that file is damaged or missing on your laptop, PhD will show the kind of behavior you're describing, but it's odd that a new install didn't fix it.

If you did have an older PhD version installed, the linked post has more info on recovering a previous version of the original .PHD file, but either way, downloading the NewProject.phd file and copying it to the appropriate folder should get you up and running again.

I believe that the Op is referring to the free PhotoDirector 8 Deluxe given away to customers who pay for a yearly subscription for the PD 365. Some users in the other forums have questioned the usefulness of this free gift as it is not the extra cost PhotoDirector 11 Ultra. It is possible that the download is corrupt as in my case a few months ago where Cyberlink support question what you have on your computer and try to find out like in my case. If you want the download you need to contact Cyberlink support and tell them also that the particular download is possibly corrupt.
