I am making training videos and need some help

I have looked in help files, online and now I turn to you all. I have made multiple takes for training videos and found that my once steady hand doesn't make for a good pointer. How can I insert an arrow or object to hightlight an area in my video?

My product video area is very tight (I use an oversized tripod with a tight shot of my equipment) and I need a pin point "pointer" on a specific area.

Can anyone help?

Thank you all and Take Care,
AcB

Hi MidTNShooter,

If it helps, attached is a simple .png of an arrow I made (with transparent background), that you can place, size, and rotate, in a PIP track, to point at your... ?

Or you can also create your own pointer in the free Paint.net program. It can be obtained in the Extra For Editors section of SMWOV at this link...

Or if you prefer "highlighting". Adrian (vn800rider), did a tutorial on highlighting a subject here...

(Using PD

I do not have access to these tools and was wondering if I could get further explanation.

I am also making training tapes and need to do several similar things. I would like to make a circle around someone and 'grey' out everything else. Is this possible, w/o using some of the adobe products or other photo editing solutions.

If I were able to get someone to make this -- what are the pieces of information I need to request. What pixel size should the screen be? How grey should the grey be? Things like this...

Also, does anyone know how to fade in and out of clips. Like a black fade to start the highlight...
