PD 18 -- Server Busy Problem, Help Needed

Just today I started getting this error on my most recent Home Movie project in PD 18. A window pops up and says "Server Busy", and it gives me the option of:

Switch to..
Retry
Cancel (greyed out)

Stops loading my video at 20% or 22%.

I've never had this happen before, and I don't want to start over on this project -- what can I do?

Hi,
This has been reported before, from memory and a bit of googling, it is an OS issue message rather than a specific PDR message, although PDR may be the application triggering the problem. See these related threads:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/annoying-messages-server-busy-every-time-i-switch/0c3d4b49-4908-4b2e-b873-1ec58795cdc7

All indicate the issue is a conflict of something leading to the OS giving an error message. As you can see it isn't necessarily confined to any particular application but it may be triggered by that application.

I can't recall a specific fix, nor can I find anything in the forum search at the moment.

Maybe other members can offer some thoughts?

Cheers
