YouTube Rendering Problems

For some reason whenever I render in 4k the videos have a brief glitch after transitions or when I use a layer.

Is there something in my settings I can change to fix this?

Here is an example video:

https://youtu.be/2yW07cwIJfc

In this video you can see it happen at:

32 second mark

1:49 mark

4:52 mark

Happens every time I render in 4k. Have tried several things and every video comes out the same.

Click the gear in the top and goto project

Turn off autosave. I have them all unchecked.

Then load the video again and then produce. I don't think its happening when you produce the video I think its happening when your editing the video and do not notice it. I could be wrong but this is what I did.

Can you post a screenshot of your timeline showing the few seconds before and after one of the glitches? It seems to me that you're using a Glow transition (or something similar), but you say you're using a "layer." A timeline screenshot may clear up my confusion.

Also, you don't mention what output profile you're producing to. "4K" is a resolution, and there are several different pixel sizes, along with different encoding options that can be used. The full spec would be helpful, as would trying to produce without using the hardware (CPU only, don't use the GPU).

Finally, changing the type of transition may have an impact. Please try any or all of the suggestions and let us know what happens.

When I rendered the same video in 1080 it came out fine:

This has been an issue I have encountered for the last two versions of PD. I have even tried using the direct upload to Youtube option but anything I try to upload in 4k resolution. Direct to Facebook is the same way. Any video I try to render in 4k resolution does this.

Is there something wrong in my settings causing this? I have experimented for months and have not came up with an answer.

Thanks for any help!

Let's try this again. I'd like to see what your timeline looks like at the 0:32 mark. It's important to see the actual edits you've made in order to understand what the scene should look like, and also help understand why the glitch appears a second or so later.

Also, the settings I'm interested in seeing are the Output Profile on the Produce page. I don't ever produce and upload directly to YT; instead I always produce the clip to an internal drive so I can check the results before uploading it.

Thanks very much for both of the new screenshots.

Your timeline looks just like what I was expecting, and I'm wondering what would happen if you dragged a different transition onto the existing Glow transition there. Try using a simple Fade, and then produce the video as usual.

It would be ideal if you produced straight to your hard drive and then checked to see if the issue was present or not, as it's possible (though, unlikely) for glitches like this to come from processing on YT and not directly from PD.

Hello,

To me this almost seems like a project frame rate issue.
Try toying with the timeline framerate (picture)
