I haven't noticed any significant changes from PD17. Depending on your system's hardware, you may see some improvement by using shadow files and/or lowering the preview resolution.

You may also want to think about doing all of your other edits first and only applying the LUTs at the end before producing.

The opposite approach would also work, which would be to apply the LUTs first, and then produce everything to "lock in" the LUT changes. That way you can work with normal clips for the duration of the project.

I've had the same issue for awhile now. It's clearly a bug in the software. I'm able to scroll through about 25% of my LUTS without issue and can test them out as intended. But once I scroll past about the first 25% of my LUTS library PD stops responding for periods of about 30 seconds and then if I continue attempting to scroll or click on any other LUTS the same thing happens. The only way to get it to return to normal functioning is to exit the LUTS menu. I'm hoping this issue will be resolved in a future patch.

Also, a suggestion for the LUTS menu – currently after we select the one we want and exit the LUTS menu, if we go back in again it doesn't highlight the one that is currently selected...you have to remember or write down which one you chose in case you want to apply it to other clips on your timeline later on. It's a bit of a pain if you have a large library to try to figure out which one you selected.

I agree. same problem. PD18 Ultimate. Its a pain because you need to wait each time you click something to do with the LUTS. also I agree that the green tick showing which LUTS file you have used is not there when you go back into the LUTS folder. What I did NOT expect was that when I clicked on the LUTS box first time, it would actually find my LUTS folder with all of them I ever downloaded from various sources, automatically. this suggests it looks at some settings in 17 as my Luts folder is a subfolder in a seperate data drive. this might also then suggest that if you have uninstalled 17 you may have to direct it again to your LUTS folder ?? Once applied it works fine but scrolling through the LUTS folder simply doesnt work. some sort of buffering going on seems to me. A pain which will no doubt be fixed.
