I've found an interesting issue with AD9/365 (v9.0.2514.0).

If AD is running and the "list of audio devices has changed" message is disabled, when a Bluetooth headset is turned on, AD crashes. There is no problem turning off the headset, and no problem if the "devices changed" dialog box is enabled.

Here's the simple test that triggers the issue every time on my desktop:

Here's a screenshot from Event Viewer as shown at the end of the video:

It would help to know if this is isolated to my desktop or if this affects all installations before I submit a trouble ticket.

AD9 is still at the "n.0" version and hasn't been updated to "n.6" like PD and PhD have, so maybe the perpetual and subscription versions are similarly affected.

I heard back from CL tech support, and they found that there was a problem with how the driver for the CSR BT dongle was installed.

After trying several different approaches, the one that worked was uninstalling the BT driver and running the installer again as an administrator. Since then, everything works properly and AD no longer crashes when I turn my headphones on or off.

Thanks, tech support! cool
