Upgrade button on 15 Ultra takes to unqualifying upgrade checkout
[Post New]
Using the upgrade button on 15 Ultra takes you to the upgrade page. The upgrade page Web text is not accurate in that it does not correctly guide you to a valid upgrade. Customer support says that 15 isn't eligible for upgrade pricing. You don't find this out until after you purchase the product and attempt to install it. The installation shows multiple versions that it says qualify, but none of the licenses work. This upgrade purchase process is dishonest. After several requests for refund, customer support still hasn't processed it.

This is no way to treat a loyal customer that has bought over a dozen of the versions.

Hello,

For installation message, it is known issue, and we will pass on this to the product team for further consideration.

As for upgrading PowerDVD, it is quite clear on the web site that only versions 17 and 18 are eligible for the reduced upgrade price. See attached image.

If you have PowerDVD 15 still installed, can you please go back in and click the upgrade button and take a screen shot of the window you are sent to?

Also, we received information that your refund has now been processed. Please check.

Cheers

I've got a different but maybe related issue?

When watching a Blu-Ray full screen, I get an upgrade pop-up box in the bottom left.

It won't go away, unless I choose to watch the movie in windowed mode. It's really quite frustrating.

We will pass on your screenshot, but please start a new topic next time as it is a different issue.

Can you try deselecting the "Check for product update information" option in General preferences. This should prevent this message from being seen during playback.

Cheers
