Intelligent Svrt not working

Hi. I can not get svrt to work on any of my clips.
I tested this by simply trying to produce a single 10 second clip with no transitions or effects, but svrt always detects it as needing to be fully rendered (red apposed to green) the video was shot with my Galaxy S8 phone at 4k 30fps. My chosen frame rate in pd is selected for NTSC apposed to PAL.
So can anyone please shed some light on this problem?

Probably because the footage has true variable frame rate as most phones. Check a clip with MediaInfo or the like to see. Here was a Galaxy S7 clip result:
Frame rate mode : Variable
Frame rate : 29.835 FPS
Minimum frame rate : 15.010 FPS
Maximum frame rate : 32.097 FPS

I have an S8 and my numbers are similar to Jeff's, but they varied even more on my test clip: 7.5 - 32.4fps. I also can't get SVRT to work with that clip

I don't remember if PD16 has the Profile Analyzer on the Produce page, but I used it on PD17 and it came up with this custom profile (it's AVC/H.264 MP4):



I have a very fast system, and even without SVRT I could produce an 11 sec clip using Intel QuickSync in only 7 sec, which was the same as just my CPU. Using my RTX 2070 took only 2 sec, but my point is that you should be able to get decent performance with this custom profile even though SVRT isn't available.

This is extremely dissapointing regarding mobile phone technology. Any idea why mobile phones use VFR? it does not make any logical sense to me, and with phones becoming so good with 4k quality, and so pocketable, they are becoming the primary choice for shooting video, yet even though the picture quality is so good, why on earth are the manufactureres creating their own video format by using VFR? we need smart phones that can shoot in NTSC or PAL is that really too much to ask for?? Nearly all cheap and expensive dedicated camcorders and hibryd cameras can do this, so what the deal with mobile phone video cameras?

Space, VFR is very effective at capturing high quality in lower space which is often important in the digital age.

They are not creating anything new, VFR has been around for years, 10+, they are just taking advantage of it to give you that high quality content you desire in a very small package. With the digital age that we have, maybe a better question would be why has PDR SVRT technology not been upgraded to work with current video offerings as well vs just the 1950's PAL and NTSC technology?
