Edit Mixed Frame Rate Video

Hello guys can PD17 edit mixed frame rate video.
24,30 & 60fps


My timeline 24 fps.
i use 24 fps to record video with sound. 30 fps just smooth shoot and 60 fps for slowmo.


question can i do this on 17. or can i copy what this guys did on premier with this mix framerate link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gf1od2xCaFY&t=337s

specificcally speaking on 8:35

yes. You have to slow down the 30 and 60 fps videos.

but pd17 already pull some frames already when i put it on the timeline. thats why when i try to slow it down its already stuttering

Right α Cen, PD has to remove frames from all the higher fps clips to keep them aligned to your 24fps project. If you changed the timeline frame rate to 60, everything would be smooth, with PD adding frames where needed to match the lower rate clips with the project frame rate.

Is there a specific reason you want your finished project to play at 24fps?

im editing a video for my friend for her 21 birthday. and i wanna copy this type of editing style to make my workflow essyer.

Yes, I glanced at that video before, but could only watch for a few seconds because the guy was so completely annoying. I gritted my teeth and looked longer at the section where he used the Modify tool to change each clip's frame rate to match his timeline, and PD does not have that ability.

However, you can use the Video Speed tool to do the exact same thing. When you select a 30 fps clip, use the Entire Clip tab and set the Speed multiplier: setting to 0.8 (or 0.799 if you want to be exact). For your 60p clips, set the multiplier to 0.400



Then you can edit and trim all you want, and the finished clips will play back just like they would in the linked video.
