The short answer is yes. If you plan to put a file that is greater than 4 GB in size on it then you need to format that usb drive to either ntfs or exfat.

Just be be prefectly clear, PD is a video editor which is used to create finished "playable" videos (like MP4s) and is never needed on any playback device.

PDS project files are just sets of instructions that tell PD what edits you've made to clips on the timeline, and are they not playable by any device.

If you Save a project from PD to your USB stick, you cannot "play" that PDS file. You must use the Produce or Create Disc features to create playable media, and that's what you would copy to the USB stick. When using Produce, you can even set the Export folder: to the USB stick and create the video there directly.

Andy, when you produce a movie in Power Director, the file can be saved in a folder on your computer. You can then copy the produced file into your USB memory stick. But keep in mind, your chosen format of your movie needs to be compatible to the device that is going to read your video file. For instance, if you chose to use AVI as your format, the device must then be capable of reading the AVI file and opening it up to display it... Just find out what the device requires to display your movie..then produce the movie to match the specs of the player.

So, the short answer is yes... JoeVideo
