Christopher -

Have you tried your disc in different players? Does it play on your PC?

Cheers - Tony

I'm not sure whether this will solve your issue, but... burning issues are fairly common with PD7. Much has been written about and discussed in the PD forum.

The most reliable thing to do seems to be to burn your project to a DVD Folder - then use dedicated burn software to burn your discs. In other words, don't use the burn module of PD.

Software often used is;
imgburn (free) http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
Nero http://www.nero.com/ena/index.html
Ashampoo Burning Studio http://www2.ashampoo.com/webcache/html/1/product_2_2210___USD.htm

Cheers - Tony

Hi Tony.
I think I have found out what the problem is but not how to overcome it.I have been burning a wedding video which is over 4.7gb so i have been using 8.5gb discs.I have just burnt a disc at lower quality onto a 4.7gb disc which doesn't look very good but will play in a dvd player,so the problem is something to do with PD burning to 8.5 discs although I never had this problem with Power Producer?

DVD players can be very finicky. I agree with Tony, burn to a folder.
I use Cyberlink Power2Go. It tears thru folder burns, never fails. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

Hi Barry,
Thank you for your reply.I am using the same 8.5gb discs that I use for copyng films onto so I know that the dvd will play 8.5gb discs and I have just done a video using Power producer 2 Gold and although it keeps crashing .takes forever to actualy do a video and there are no nice menus and goodies it will burn it to a 8.5 gb dvd without any problems.

Christopher -

When you burn to DVD Folder, that includes all the menu set-up you made with PD.

Burning your disc with Power2Go, imgburn or the other suggestions will copy your menu structure as well.
