Application Manager bugs

I went to upgrade PowerDirector 17 today through the app itself. It appeared to download the latest version of Application Manager before loading.

1. The login window did not disappear after logging in: Application Manager presented a pop up window asking me to log in. I put my login details, and I could see my name appear behind the login screen, indicating login was successful. However the login window did not disappear. The window stayed there with a blank email and password as though it was still waiting for login details.

2. I clicked "What's New?" for the PowerDirector365 update. The What's New window popped up, but no text could be read because the window wasn't large enough and I couldn't resize it:

I would reboot and try logging into AppManager again, this time make sure your credentials are accepted and the login window disappears before clicking on anything else.

If It still doesn't work properly, try uninstalling the App Manager itself (right-click on the Windows Start icon, choose Apps & features then select Cyberlink Application Manager.

MAKE SURE you know where the original installer is that you used to install DS365 before uninstalling! It may be in your download folder and it's called something like ApplicationManager_v1126_rv......exe. The file should be 15-20MB in size.

If you can't find it, go to your Cyberlink account page and retrieve it, then make sure you save it someplace safe so you'll be able to run it again in the future. At some point, it won't be available form the account page any longer, and you don't want to ever be stuck and not able to access it - like if you're insralling on a new PC.

Try installing the app manager again, and make sure it updates itself (the current version is 1.2.1126.0), and hopefully you'll be up and running and can update PD17 to the latest 2314 version.
