Ping with every tap of Coma or Period

I'm not sure why I get a Ping every time I hit the period and coma key. It's like a Chinese Water Torture.
I'm guessing it has something to do with graphics but why, when i'm only stepping from frame to frame.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I haven't been able to find any graphic setting in PD, but maybe I didn't look in the right place Michael
Lr, Ps, PD365, Canon 60D and 70D, Speedlite 430EX II

The period and comma on your keyboard in PowerDirector advance or move your playhead back one frame at a time. At least that's what happens when you've got a clip selected on your timeline.\

What tool are you using or what do you have selected when you hear pings?

The pings may be coming from Windows sound.

You can modify that in Windows.
Control Panel > Sound, on the Sounds tab. Several types of sounds may produce your ping or beep.

Default beep makes a sound for just about every mouse click and key press.
