Is there a way to save multicam state?
[Post New]
I am about to work on a long multicam project with many camera changes and I estimate that it will take me several days to complete but I cannot see a way to save my work as I go along. Any recomendations how to do this?

No worries! I stressed out about that back when the MCD was first added, but then I saw that you can safely save the work in progress and return to it later.

In PD17, once you've imported and synced your clips in the MultiCam Designer, make sure you click the Produce as: Single Video option:

Whenever you've finished a section, click on OK and PD will transfer the respective clips to the timeline. Please note that you CANNOT save the project when the MCD is in use, so this is the time to save the project. Be sure to do this frequently!

The key to resuming MC editing is to click on any of the clips displaying an MC # tag, then click on the Designer tool above the timeline and choose MultiCam Designer

If you click on MCD from the Plugin menu, it will start a new instance and you'd have to start all over, but using the Designer tool list lets you go back to the original MCD with all your clips, edits and syncing intact, and then you can place the scrubber at your last edit and happily go on from there cool

As the MC # tag implies, PD will keep multiple MCD copies, so you can also break up your project into smaller parts and give each one its own MCD space.
