Hello PD friends - this is a related topic this thread, I hope. I'm new to the forums here so please bear with me.
I am sound mixing a wedding video for a friend and wish to make smooth audio transitions between clips. By smooth, I mean no jump-audio cuts betwen soft/loud noises between clips. I've been playing around with the "Constant Power" audio fade, but no matter how long/short I make the transition in the timeline, the audio always fades up and down between clips / within the audio transition effect. How do I make it so the audio levels remain steady between clips?
This was a super-easy effect tool in Final Cut Pro - drag and drop, literally. What's the shortcut here and how do I prevent the fade in/out of the audio levels between clips using the audio transition tools?
Many thanks!
Ben

In the settings you can choose between
Overlap or
Cross to your default.
For a smooth transition of audio, use
Overlap mode.
A simple way to apply, drag one video or audio over the other, in the choose menu,
Crossfade.
For transition applied, either switch between Cross or Overlap.
Click the transition, and
Modify button and select.
If you need a curve for audio with different time than video.
Use the
Audio Mixing room, Fad In / Fad Out buttons or act directly on the
audio line, hold the "
Ctrl" key while dragging the line up or down.
