Video clips files appear not to identify the camera that took the footage

As we go along making our videos we accumulate more and more video clips and sometimes more than one or two cameras capable of taking videos. This is also true of still photos and they probably massively outnumber the videos but that doesn't matter too much because the still photo files record the camera model be it DSLR, Mirrorless M43, camcorder or mobile phone.
But what about video clips?
When I look at a clip in Windows 10 it shows everything but the camera model.
When I load the clip in PowerDirector 14 it shows everything but the camera model.
Am I missing something here? Phil
