I created a PIP object with a custom path, scaling and rotation. I want to be able to switch the image that has thos properties set. Is there any way to do this withour starting over?

I just did this with a baseball and then applied the settings to a football.

  1. Right click on the object you edited in the PiP Designer and choose "Copy Keyframe Attributes" from the pop-up menu.

  2. Place the other object in the timeline, then right click on it and choose "Paste Keyframe Attributes"

  3. Move the second object to the place in the timeline where the first one was.

In addition to what Jimiowa showed
Save As... your Pip object, add this to the timeline.
Drag the new image from Media Roon to override Pip in the menu select Replace.

I also found a another way. If I duplicate the PowerDirector project file. Open it up in text editor to view the XML, I can then replace all instances of the image name used to the new image name. This was before I created the Pip Object. Editing the Pip Objects directly in exlporer did not work because the timing turned out to be different.
