PowerDirector on Linux?

Hi all !

is there any plan to have PowerDirector (and other softs) working on Linux ?

I'm bored of Windows and have switched mainly at work and home on Linux (Debian), and feel it more "powerfull" and resilient than Windows, and also for more secure.

Windows, after 6-12 monthes it start to become slow and only solution is to reinstall... Plus need a really more powerfull computer to do the same things, and need to buy it, buy Antivirus,...

On my "old" computer that near can't be used with a Windows, i can run some heavy applications like a Plex Server to manage my video created at Home (and on TV ), while i can't use more than a Windows 7 on it, and even here it's slow.

More and more people are on Mac (especially in creators), it's managed, but Linux community users si growing fast with really easy and usable desktops environments now.

Hello,

I know that CyberLink did a lot of development in the past in Linux, but its been a while now. There for sure was a PowerDVD on Linux and other OEM software. But as I said, it was a long time (10 years) ago.

I think they are focusing more on Android development, which is the closest thing to it. Can your Linux machine run an Android modulator or something? (sorry, I don't know anything about Linux...but just asking).

ha ? i've just see the full products on android.. and serious, for me working ia 17" screen it's really short to be comfortable... i think it's not reasonalbe to do a real work with an interface to create video with 4-5 lines of items, mutli cut, create pip objects on an android phone or even a tablet ?

If the real intention is to focus on android mobiles to use this so rich interface ... it's a mistake like no editor have done before i think

Edit : ok i have look on the officiel website, and no mention on android on PowerDirector prerequisite page (in french for me)
https://fr.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-video-movie-editor/spec_fr_FR.html?affid=2581_1299_540

Only Windows is mentionned
But i found them in the playstore

But serious even with a recent powerfull phone, i would be curious how i could work my 70Go of sources i took with my gopro 5 black this week, plus temporary files, shadow files, the GB of the applications, and the output sources on it !

And i really doubt my phone could render my ten minutes video + effects in H.265 like my computer, and it's already quite long to do that.
I forgot that i must upload them after, from my phone still ? with data ?
(note : those data are only 1080p sources ... imagine if i work in 2k7 or 4k like my gopro can do ?)

Ok, then another argument for me to not upgrade my version.
If the goal is to tend to a "minimalist" application (vs all what they promise with computer versions) for phones to manage small video wth small actions possibles... i'll really will switch to other products quickly.
(ha even fullHD or + is paid version, don't know if owner of PD can activate it or need to by again for phone)

Bref this doesn't help mewith my original question, i really try to bypass this boring and expensive Windows. And be able to be full Linux. I prefer pay for good softwares that for this OS, heavy to do the same things, and that need to buy OS and other soft before do something .. and pay again all each 3-4 years.

(Again for most of my old windows usage, i got near free complete tools, no antivirus to pay, ho my "old" PC works well now, i don't need to buy a new one, only to boot and show files and a few apps. they run fine with Linx on the same hardware
(My mediacenter server is a core2 duo from 2009 + 4Go RAM and the latest Linux... even windows 7 could not run smoothly ... without application to launch).
