Editing a 4k video problem

I have a DJI Phantom 4 pro V2.0 drone that produces 4k video when I put the video on my computer I can play it and the quality is great how ever when I try to edit it and put music to it using the PowerDirector 16 the quality becomes extremly poor all I am trying to do is put music to the video. Weather I put it on a DVD or just save it to my desk top the out come is the same poor. Any one have any ideas?

Tell us about your computer via Windows dxdiag,.exe
What video resolution are you editing? What output? What I see is that drone's camera records in MOV format.

I just edited, produced and plaued (via screen cast to a 4K TV)) a 15 minute 4K video from a series of mt2s video recorded by a hand held Sont camcorder recorded video and it looked great

If it's only at the production stage that the quality looks poor. I would ask if you are selecting the correct settings for 4K. However, remember the quality of a DVD is nowhere near that of 4K, consequently it will look poor on a DVD.
