Is watching a youtube video by PowerDvd18 counted for youtube's "views"?

I just wonder about it because I want to use PowerDvd18 to watch youtube video but I also want to support creators at least by making my view(watch time) count.

Yes of course it does. It works similar to when it is on mobile or embedded on a web page.
