Just having a play with motion tracker (PD16) and wanted it to move an object off the screen limits - can't think of a way of achieving this - can anyone else?
I momentarily considered manually manipulating the last 20 points by hand - but gave up equally as momentarily.

No, as far as I know, your way is the only one.
The motion tracker stops tracking, if it does not recognize more to track. If there are still things to track they must be tracked manually.
