PDS file separated from MTS files

I created a PDS file which I moved from a directory that has MTS files used to create the PDS file to a different directory. When I opened the PDS file from this new directory in Power Director titles and subtitles are there, however, my media room is empty and the timeline shows blank boxes. (1) Is there a way I can link the PDS to a directory which contains MTS files, (2) Do i have to move my PDS file to the original directory where the MTS files are?

I opened PDS file in the new directory and imported the MTS files into media room. However, they did not link to the time line which shows blank boxes.

How can i fix it? Thank you

Milan

That was not a good idea.
I hope, you did not save the project after moving it. If so, don't read further, most likely, it will not work.

Put the PDS back to the original place. The media should appear in the media room again.
Choose "File - Pack Project Materials..." and choose the target directory. The media files and the correct PDS will copied to the target location.

You can try Browse where you are allowed to locate the assets manually where they are at present.

Adding shown by Haitti
When this happens, when opening the project (PDS) comes the message, file name.mts not found, want to search, search the file name.mts and continue, it automatically adds all the .mst files that are in the same folder.
Your project came back complete, now Save As name ...

Thank you all for the suggestions.

I found the directory with MTS files and copied PDS file into the directory. When I opened the PDS file in Cyberlink (PD14) the MTS files appeared in the media room, however, the timeline still showed blank (black) frames. Is there a way to link it together?

When I opened the PDS file no message appeared about missing MTS file. Propbably in PD14 it was not inlcuded.

Thanks again

This is easy to solve, in the timeline, check the number (name) of the previous video and later, identify what is missing.
See if this in the library, if not add, drag over the missing video, leaving a little to the right, open a menu, select the replace option.

Note: When saving a project (PDS) and saved everything that is on the timeline at that moment.
