I have a Canon HF11 and I have been using Powerdirector 6 & 7 to edit, produce and modify the AVCHD Video created by this camera for some time. I have tried many other software products, but I like this one best!
Although I WAS miffed when the "trim" issues surfaced, it was soon resolved and I was smiley again.
But now...with PD8, I see a problem with AVCHD.
It appears that the PRX files in PD8 are incorrect. I have a 1920 X 1080 MTS file from my Canon Camera.
If I produce it in PD7 and make a WMV (like Windows Media Video 9 DVD Quality) file, it sets the size to 720 x 406 and the images look fine.
If I produce the same video in PD8, it sets the size to 720 x 480. That is an incorrect relationship of size and the image is SKEWED.
I am not sure if modifying/adding another PRX file to create this correct 720 x 406 relationship is the right approach, long term. I believe that the 720X480 size is wrong.
Cyberlink folks??? What is your take on this??
Maybe I won't be smiley anymore (like Philip)
