Windows 7 and media player

I'm looking at buying version 9 and wonder if this will allow one to play Blu-ray and HD-DVD through Windows Media player instead of the powerdvd interface?

Hi,

From what I heard, Microsoft will not allow this, so no.

Plus, PowerDVD 9 doesn't support HD DVD playback anymore.
