Masking problems with picture-in-picture (PowerDVD 7.3 Ultra)

Picture-in-picture features on The Thing don't appear to be masked correctly; it appears that the main film can be seen through anything in the smaller picture that is pure black.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Edit: Ignore that, rebooting the PC seems to have resolved whatever was up!
