But. What I don't understand is that what is stated as functionality does not work or works on a level expected of software that is at its prototype stage of development.
Can anybody explain why the following works as it currently does?
- When shakiness from video is removed, seams between scenes have some weird frames that are really annoying. It seems that the buffer border that is added around the video to allow the reduction of shakiness momentarily disappears and the original video content gets displayed?! The same thing happens when scenes having different aspect ratio settings follow one another.
- When I use the fade transition (which, in my opinion, is by far the most usable transition) I get pausing with scenes that have some effects (e.g. apect ratio or shakiness reduction) applied to them.
Having these glitches on the preview display only would be no problem the preview has to be close to real-time but seeing the same 'effects' on rendered video totally exceeds what I can accept.
I also had the magic motion for still images on this list of problems, but the patch seems to have fixed that problem.
And yes, I know there are workarounds for these problems and I can install older versions (if I can get my hands on them) possibly having these things right but the thing is that I DON'T WANT TO USE WORKAROUNDS OR OLDER VERSIONS.
I have had a project of mine in a frozen state for months just because I've waited for updates that would fix these annoyances - and I have begun to wonder if such updates are coming at all.
Will these things be fixed?
