Dividing videos into clips in Media Content browser?

Hi there,

Brand new to this software. I just used scene detection to split a video into clips in the editing pane, but realized I want to keep the separated clips for other projects and can't find a way to move them to the media browser.

I realized there's also a scene detector I can access if I click on the video in the media library pane, but I don't have precision editing ability like I do if I scene detect from the editing pane, it seems I have to take the segments as it gives them to me. :/

Help? My kingdom for the ability to break down videos into the clips I want, in my media browser

The "target" clip is divided only by thumbnails, not actually split, so it remains a single clip in reality.
I am not aware of a way to make them individual clips with out actually rendering the segments one by each. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Adding to what BarryTheCrab showed
To save part of the video clip
Select with yellow cursor then, button Produce Range
In the module Produce use Intelligent SVRT when it has 100% workl ... saved in the same original format, very fast.
To split part of the video manually use the Split button, see image
