Decrypted 4K UHD playback on PC

Hi. I cannot play any 4K UHD Blu-ray from hard drive in PowerDVD 17 (latest build), including these which are decrypted for sure. When the playback starts, there’s only sound with black screen. Menu button appers. I’ve made sure that ”AUXDATA” folder was in place.

I’ve read a little bit about issues with nVidia cards and so on, but to be honest I’m fresh off the boat in this business, so it will take some time until I gain even most basic knowledge.

Can creating and mount an ISO image be of some help for me?

My hardware: Ryzen 5 1400, Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming, GeForce GTX 1050, Dell 25 UltraSharp U2518D connected via DP.

Hello,

Two things: 1. PowerDVD 17 doesn't support UHD BD folder playback yet. 2. I don't think there are fully decrypted UHD BDs yet. Case in post, copyright protection is preventing the video from being displayed on your screen. Either the file is still partially encrypted or was corrupted.

Mounting the ISO on a virtual drive won't help either, as the UHD Blu-ray advisor is clearly telling you that your PC does not saisfy the requirements for UHD Blu-ray playback. Also, PowerDVD doesn't support UHD BD ISO playback either.
