When I play a dvd it gets about halfway through and then jumps to the end.
Not sure why or how to fix this.

If you don't skip the playback, and let it play to the end without any interrupt, does the problem still occur?
I think it is a issue that specifically happened on certain PCs, just contact support to get some advice from cyberlink.
