Updating to Recent Patch

I've got a question regarding Cyberlink's updating of new patches. When I checked my account, I noticed that there were two PD 16 updates that have come out that I have not installed as of yet. With other software (e.g. MS Windows), the most recent update would cover both what's new and what was in the previous update. Is this the case with Cyberlink software or do I have to download and install the previous update and then download and install the most recent update to make sure everything is covered?

Thanks TeeMan

Hello,

You can just download and install the latest patch update. It will have all of the updates, and ensure you're running the latest version.

David thank you very much. That is what I assumed but it never hurts to ask in the fast pace and everchanging world that we live in. TeeMan

I'm going to piggyback on this thread, as it is relative to a question I have. New to PD16, just started using it. When I check the version of PD16 Ultra I have (16.0.2313.0, SR VDE171107-01), checking for updates, it says no updates available. Yet on the Cyberlink website there is a 2018.02.12 release build 2524. Is there some reason why the PD16 software would not indicate to me there is an update available? I do not have the "live" version, it was purchased from BestBuy in a retail box. Should I just download it from the website. I don't want to do something wrong if my installed software isn't telling me to update.

Thanks for reading.

Seymour, your situation is what prompted me to start this thread to begin. I too saw the"no updates available" yet on the website there was an update. Things that make you go hmmmm.

There are many things about the CL software and how the devs do things that leave me scratching my head. It's almost like they're on another planet. They certainly don't pay too much attention to the users. .
