Want to produce my timeline as 2 seperate video. I tried highlighting just the frame sections I wanted and that didn't work.

It's one of those things that isn't immediately obvious

. There are 2 x orange tabs on either side of the timeline scrubber. You can click and drag each one to mark out a section which then becomes highlighted in orange. If you right click on the highlighted area you can choose to produce that section alone. After going through the "produce" process PDR will load the newly created clip into your media room.
