Cut and object out of one image and use it in another?
[Post New]
Hello,

I would like to cut an object (for example a person) from on image and save it for use in either another picture or video.

What is the easiest way to just cut the image out. I do not have enough of a steady hand to zoom in and cut.

If the background is simple I can cut easier?

Or is there a tool. Like the Content Aware that makes it easier. I saw it use to remove an object.

Experts - suggestions please?

Thanks,

Veepo

Hello again Veepo,

Yes, PhotoDirector can do that.

The Content Aware Removal tool has a different purpose. i.e. to remove something from an image and replace it with background fill.

For your question, the best choice is the Backgound Removal tool. You're correct in thinking that the task is easier with a simple background, where there's good contrast with the subject.

Another of PhD's tools, Photo Composer, can be used to overlay the saved image onto a new background photo.
