This is not confined to 2726, but has anyone had an image in the pip which was motionless, then after a crash the image is now given a travel path?
Every build of 7 I've used has had this issue, anyone else? HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Barry -
I can't help you with that. Sorry. I've not experienced it.

I do have a PIP issue though, which sorta kinda belongs here with yours. Recently, I made 2 pretty schmicko looking slide shows of both my kids weddings... both using the Cell template. They were hooked up with some beautiful audio and it was all nicely synced.

So - I decided to spice it up with a few PIPs (exploding valentines & stuff) - even better. Previewed the show. Ran like a charm. Made sure it was as perfect as I could make it, then produced it to a video. I made use of the sound enhancement feature (CLVS).

When I watched it back in Windows Media Player, every time a PIP played, the sound went from a full, smooth sound to BLECH! It sounded like an old 78 played on a gramophone. After the PIP finishing pipping, proper sound quality resumed.

I thought it might be a system/setup issue - and that is possible - but it played superbly in PD7 preview.

I guss you know what happened to the PIPS - yep - on the cutting room floor, so to speak.

It's got me flumoxed because I've used PIPs dozens of times without this happening.

Sorry ladies and gentlemen - let's get back to Barry's question.

To Tony -
did you mute the PIP track before rendering?

No pjc - it didn't occur to me - there was no sound in the PIP track. Should I have done that anyway?

Thanks -

I have had no sound issues with pip.
My pip problems are unwanted motion
and
an even more aggravating item of timelines not staying synced when I re-open a project.

Problems like that which crop up when viewing a video I think I've finished.

I shall await a 3 page explanation from Adrian, then grab a pencil and jam it in my ear! HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Barry,

I surmise that your habit of jamming a pencil in one ear will obviously slow down the sound arriving at your eardrum, the additional pain experienced will also cause a malfunction of the perception of sound through that ear and your video will appear to be out of synch.

You have three choices :

Jam identical pencils, with the same audio transfer characteristics, in both ears in precisely the same way to gain even sound perception.

Use external audio resistors and filters to slow the signal down in the open ear, so 'fooling' your perception into synch.

Never, ever re-open a PD project, only use the one session edit approach - edit, produce, forget.

Cheers
Adrian

PS You may not see pencils in your ears, but please check, I'll bet you've left a broken one in there somewhere!

No, the pencils in my ears hurt too much.

Anyway it's 13.30 here, contrary to appearances I do not yet need an afternoon nap to keep up my strength, good looks etc etc.

Cheers
