Photo Director 8 missing overlay and layering features

Hi, I recently purchased a digital copy of Photo Director 8 along with a whole pakage of other softwares such as Power Director.

I noticed that in my Photo Director 8, I am missing the Overlay option under Photo Effects and the option "Layering" between Edit and Slideshow up top is also missing.

I have valid digital key and my product has been activated.

I'm wondering why I am missing these features?

I have attached a screencapture.

Welcome to the PhD forum

You almost certainly have the "Deluxe" version of PhD8. Only the "Ultra" version has Layers & other particular features.
