I'm using PD15 on my workstation with E3 Xeon and 16Gb RAM. I dont have a fast Garphics accelerator but there is a CUDA proc. on the graphics board

When I have app. 50 (AVC and MP4 ) HD clips in the timeline the edit mode (scroll and move) are very slow, and lacking behind.

This is extremly annoying.
I have tried to use proxy files, but that does not help.

The display setting are set to HD and realtime

I also have magix MEP and Sony Vegas on my machine, theese programs are much "snappier" and there are no lacking at all in edit mode with the same clips/fotages

Any good ideas ?

Lower your preview quaility. Some Computers will struggle with HD preview while editing. The produced video will be full HD, Preview it just that a preview so you can see your edits.

Shadow files may help, wait for the icon to turn green before editing. Shadow files are Preferences > General. Check Enable HD processing.

this does help. Lowering the Video Quality only results in bad video quality in the preview window as expected.
The overall responsivnes of the PD15 is really slow when I have 30 min of HD material loaded on the timeline. (app. 50 clips)
If I lower the amount of clips to system start to respond better. The rendering time seem to be as expected.

The green icons are all showing the proxy files are generated.

When I change from edit to produce it takes app. 30-40 seconds before the actual changes happens.

To me it seems that PD are running very on on resources, but my system works perfect during this slow response in PD.

Other NLE video editors are running with HD preview without any problems
