Start up powerdvd 9 and get error message that powerdvd can only run under a setting of 1024 x 768 16 bit color or higher..

Strange im connected to lcd tv over hdmi on custom resolution to reduce overscan 1260 x 766 or something

Tried changing resolution to 720p still same error

video card is 7600gt, vista 32. latest powerdvd 9 trial version and all drivers up to date..

If I try to play blu ray from media center it lanuches but only plays in 1024 x 768 and only displays 1/4 of the screen rest is cut off..

Sorry to post but cant find details on this issue anywhere

I don't think the problem is resolution, I think it's exactly the same error just in a different place. We are all getting these error's. Hopefully they will fix the problem

It is a res issue, later versions of PDVD 8 did the same, if I ever set my systems to 1280x720 I got the same message about not being able to run PDVD at less the 1024x768. They messed up when deciding minimum res limits

Change to the custom resolution after PowerDVD is open. That's what I do to watch at 1216x684 on my plasma.
