I bought the Ultra.
I have 1 LG BD drive and 1 Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive.
Cyberkink in the site claim that Ultra plays BOTH BD and HD-DVD but this is not true!
After installing software i can only get the BD version OR (if I disconnect the LG drive) the HD-DVD version.
I think that this is not serious at all.

I have the same issue.
So I asked cyberlink support for this problem.
They said PowerDVD Ultra use BD edition as default.
If we installed HD-DVD and BD drive at the same machine, the default player is BD edition...........

Dear Penco,

I go the PowerDVD Ultra free upgrade information.
Cyberlink will release new PDVD version with support to both HD and BD at the same time by Jan/Feb.
User who bought PowerDVD ultra can get free upgrade to new version.

Thank you, this was just what i as hoping to here (Im not the only 1 who has this silly problem!) Lets see if i get told I get a free upgrade too!
