Is PD able to import and play animated .gif images? I can import them, but the animation doesn't work.

Hi Cindy,

You'll need to use a Gif animation software and convert the animated gif to an avi file. Just be aware that PD is a bit particular as to the frame size of any video that is imported into the PiP.

Work-around - if needed. Place the variant frame sized video into the video track and Produce it. Bring back into PiP afterwards and resized as you wish.

Cindy, please join SeeMyWorldonVideo, as seen below. It's free.
SMWoV has a page of extras, one links to a program called WM Converter. It's free too.
You can drag&drop a gif into it, and you will get varying results, depending on the gif itself. Some do not work so well, others work great.
This is very useful if you do not have the knowledge of using a gif editor.
I used WMC to convert little birdies flying about someone's head after a blow to his noggin. Gifs with transparent backgrounds can yield excellent results.
