Insert and Move All Clips.... Gap not quite being filled...?

Windows 10 Pro x64



I do the following....




  1. I drag a clip to the left to have it right next to the previous clip.

  2. I choose Insert and Move All Clips.

  3. A gap remains to the right of this clip, separating it from the other clips to the right of it.

  4. I right-click on the gap and choose "Remove and Move All Timeline Clips After Removed Gap".


My problem now is that the clips to the right are not moved fully to the left to meet the other clips.

There is a gap (about twice the width of a normal gap) and, when I play back the clips on either side of this gap, there is an ugly jump between them.

How can I make a gap disappear and a normal cut between two clips appear?

I hope this makes sense!
