I receive a notification that there is an update available, but when I try to run it, I get an error message that says, "This app can't run on your PC" and underneath in smaller text, "To find a version for your PC, check with your software publisher".

Before that, message came up, Windows anti-virus had kicked in to block the downloader from running. I had to turn it off, but it still won't run or install.

I am running the latest version of Windows 10.

I was going to write to Cyberlink support, but I thought I would try the forums first. Besides, I couldn't find the support email. :

Any suggestions?

Did you get that PowerDirector as a freebie with a piece of hardware? If so, it is an OEM and can't be updated. Also if you have live, update through the Live ApplicationManager.

Did you read this?

Note: This patch is not for PowerDirector Live subscribers, OEM versions, or versions purchased via Steam. .

Anything I post unless stated with a reference is my personal opinion.

Thanks for the response. As far as I know, I bought the full software program. I have the box and manuals, etc. But I did prchase it in Japan online. In any case I paid the full retail price 😄I'm not sure what Live is. I'll have to look that up.
