Cyberlink version 8 says I have no internet connection?!!!???

This happened to me once before with Power DVD7 and I had to get support to provide me another download copy of PowerDVD 7.
Has anybody having trouble registering ANY copy of Power DVD 8?

It is telling me that, I quote: ''Cyberlink Power DVD was not activated because a connection to the activation server could not be established...check connection and try again.''

I have a broadband (Cable) connection and it works. Is there another version I could try?

yep pain in the backside.
you will have to get in touch with customer support and they will give you a link for a download version and that will cure it.
