Hi,

I recently installed PD7 on my PC running WINXP SP2. I tried to import an avi file and received the following error:

"An error occured when opening this media file in the Media Library".

I have the Klite codec pack installed and am able to view the file in Media Player Classic no problem.

How do I configure things to allow the importing of AVI files?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

AVI is a container format which can contain many different video and audio types.
Also just because other media players have access to codecs installed on your computer it does not necessarily mean PD uses them.
What was the original file from?
It might help if you downloaded an application like mediainfo which can let you know what is inside the files.
