Greetings,

I would like to get the best quality output possible utilizing PD 15 to Produce and Burn onto DVD, files captured from Digital 8 format.

I have edited the files in PD 15 and ready to Produce the video, I am hoping there is some type of enhancement feature I am overlooking in PD 15 to make SD to HD-Like content. I see the True Theatre feature but not sure this will do the trick.

Any insight is greatly appreciated. I am in the process of editing 40 or 50 family tapes of Digital 8 format and would like to get it right from the beginning before I invest hundreds of hours.

All advise is appreciated regarding converting Digital 8 tapes and utilizing PD 15 to produce and burn them at the highest quality possible.

Regards,

Rob

There is Video enhancement on the the Fix/Ehance button on top of the timeline. For the button to show you select a video on the timeline.

There are several tools at Fix/Enhance, Some help, some hurt a SD video. Nothing can really make a lower resolution video look like it is HD. The Quality of the original Standard Definition video makes a large difference in the output video.

You can get some benefit if you produce the SD video as 1280x720 HD video. That comes as close to improving the video as anything else. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.
