I have just purchased PowerDirector v. 15.0.2309.0; SR Number: VDE160930-01

I have 55 minutes of DVD that was converted from assorted super-8 film strips that are in random order. I want to reorder them.

I had hoped to separate the DVD files (.VOB) into separate files so I could do color correction and then arrange them into a more logical order and join them back together.

Any suggestions on how to do that would be appreciated. https://www.linkedin.com/in/tomcloud

Multiple step process.

  1. I would copy the *.VOB files from the DVD Video_TS folder to a folder on your hard drive.

  2. Import those *.VOB files into Powerdirector library.

  3. Drag all *.VOB files to the PD timeline.

  4. Produce with no editing to MPEG-2 DVD HQ 720 x 480/60i (8 Mbps).

  5. After the DVD is produced to the single mpg file.

  6. Put that Produced mpg file on the timeline then use the orange range finders to select one of the separate videos you want, Produce Range (on top of timeline) Produce to the same MPEG-2 DVD HQ 720 x 480/60i (8 Mbps) for each video.

  7. Do for each of your videos.

  8. You should end up with all of the videos as separate mpg files.

  9. Then you can arrange the videos in whatever order you wish.
