Hi, My DVD creation quality problem have mostly gone away, but still have aliasing issue. Have searched and for 2d DVD do not see any mention of how to fix this. A super short video is attached showing the problem. When zooming into a image of a new page with line on it, the lines flases on and off.

Any solution?

Where the SmartFit was great and used every meg on DVD, the alaising isue is very jerky as my sample video shows, on zooms into newspaper headlines etc. Made me pop a DVD documentary into my TV, it was MUCH higher quality, not jerkiness, and even video looked better.

So found WinXDVD Author a free DVD burner, then just put the final WMV 1080 10mbps into it (inferior source to original have in PD13) and wrote VOB to HD and much better, jerkkiness etc, gone. Its not as good as 1080 which is tack sharp, but looks just like it but fuzzier. I can not write to DVD disc, becaue WinXDVD Author for some reason can not see my DVD drive? So then found Windows DVD Burner on my PC (MS free), that does see my DVD and its slowly chugging along encoding now. Only 14% in 30 mins much slower than PD. WinXDVD was fast encoding, but could not see my drive to burn.

What thought would be a few hours, burning my completed project to DVD is turning into days due to quality issues. I think there is a problem, that PD13 reduces the video quailty espeically thru aliasing introduction, compared to even free products.

Anyone here produce comercial DVDs with good quality from PD? I love cinemactic format for DVD start PD creates, but video quality a big concern now.

I would love to use PD13 to create the DVD from my PD13 as really like the menu system and Cinema setup in PD, but the quality of the video PD13 writes is very inferior to what free DVD products like WinXDVD Author and Windows DVD maker (MS) output, in some regards PD13 is outputing with 1/3rd the quality, even starting with same source file. My first post on this has video example.

What do you use to get high quality DVD files to send to duplication?

I have now attached a video on this of PD13 DVD output vs Win DVD Maker output, the aliasing is nite and day better on Windows DVD Maker.

Well good news, support mentioned selcting H264, so I went to Produce and selcted AVC H264 1080, Then selected Created Disk and there are no cloices after 720x480 is selected, BUT first time in 4 tries PD13 output high quality to disc, just like other DVD programs, the alaising went way??Does not make sense to me, the 2 menus should be separate, but that is what happened.

I now see that Support meant to select AVCHD in DVD menu. I presume many DVD players can not handle that as newer format. BUT by me selecting AVC H264 in Produce first before Create Disc menu seems to have fixed the problem, so my guess its a workaround to a bug.

Well have to take it back, on further playing see the aliasing problem is still there. Seems better than before but still way below the quality of the other DVD programs, drats very frustrating.
