I've gotten some information from another thread that PD 15 will produce 120 fps - but you can't set the timeline preferences to 120 fps.

So if I dropped a 120 fps clip into the timeline, what happens? What happens to the viewing of the clip in the preview window? And does this happening in the preview window affect what happens to the produced video or what would be burned onto a BDR (I think not... but want confirmation)?

Thanks

Hi CS -

It's me again. Pretty much whatever happens when you do that in PDR14 will happen in PDR15.

You can set your speed adjustments (if you want) down to 0.25 & produce to 30fps. The same profiles are available in 14 & 15.

Can't help much with disc creation, so I'll leave that to others. There are more BR profiles available in PDR15.

Cheers - Tony

Thanks for the response Tony! Where I was going with this was, if I put a 120 fps clip into the timeline, and reduced the speed to .25 - would this clip preview (in the preview window) look like a clip 'shot at' 60 fps and slowed to .50 speed?

Would they both exhibit the same clarity-resolution???

I don't see me purchasing the PD15 just to see if this is the case. I'm thinking I'm still a version or two away from an upgrade or purchase. Not trying to discourage anyone from such but it's just my personal preference.

Thanks Tony,
