'Shimmer' in dark skies

'Shimmer' seems the best description. Can't defeat it. Examples (same clip, one in 2K, one in 4K):

No real difference that I can see ... also it's not a Vimeo problem. I rendered the timelapses in LRTimelapse and they look fine. Source pix are 4K. Once I bring them into PD-14 as part of a larger project, this weird sky effect happens.

Any assistance appreciated!

Thank you! The ones here are BWI from the parking garage ... didn't get rousted and it worked well.
Anyway ... Here's my flow: I shoot in RAW, use LR-T and Lightroom to develop, and from Lightroom, I export 4K JPEGs to LR-T. That's where I render the timelapse after deflickering etc. That version always looks clean.
When I bring to PD for slight zooming, or as part of a feature with 8-10 different timelapses and transitions, I get the bad effect. I get it even without any zooms applied; I've tested. Just on dark skies. Actually this BWI sequence most of all.
PD-14 has some editing troubles with 4K but I can put up with it most times. This shimmer drives me crazy ...

Hi Nick
If you're shooting RAW 4k you're out of my league.
Just a thought - LRT and Lightworks are powerful professional software. MP4 is highly compressed and not the best format for editing.
If you can output from Adobe Lightworks to a less compressed lossless intermediate codec like Cineform AVI and then import into PD you may have better results. PD will import and edit Cineform files on the timeline as long as you have the codec installed on your PC.

Thanks! I'm out of almost no one's league, believe me. I'd never heard of 'RAW" until I started getting into timelapse stuff last year. It also took me a while to get the LR-T & Lightroom stuff down.

Anyway I figured -- in my limited way -- that there must be something going on with formats and codecs and compression etc.

I will look into this and I appreciate the help!
