Syncing audio with multi camera's ....Help
[Post New]
I got 2 cams . One cam has got a mike jack that runs from the stage( pulpit)

The other cam is a handycam...no mike jack.

I'm using PD 12 I tried to sync the audio , but a box came up and told me I needed to download something in order to sync the audio. with the other video camm. ( I forget exactly what it said) Its been a few weeks since this happened. I need to figure out how to throw the good audio on the other camera, so that the lips are moving correctly. As everybody out there in TV land knows, theres nothing more anoying than air lips.

Thanks for the wisdom thats coming.

Hello steve Mcqueen77,

If you're using PowerDirector 12 Ultra or Ultimate, you would be able to use the MultiCam plug-in. I am unable to determine, at the moment, whether this feature was included with PowerDirector 12 Deluxe.

I will move your thread to the PowerDirector forum where it correctly belongs.

With the multicam you can try manual instead of audio analysis. You can nudge frame by frame to get it right for lip sync. I have done that with mixed frame rate videos. Save time.

I think tomasc is saying that the video will be on one track and the audio on another track. Then just dragging the audio a little bit... perhaps just a few frames or a frame at a time - until you get them synced up - would be considered manually syncing the voices with the video.

Sounds like it would work to me. I think I did some of that with two different simultaneous videos once.

Multicam allows 4 different ways to sync 2 videos. Audio analysis is just one of them and is not necessary as only one audio is selected and used in the output. The nudge arrows are also in multicam. I actually like to do it the way CS2014 stated using sync by audio without multicam on my projects. Sync by audio is not a feature in PD12.
